Certification in Emergency Crisis Response
Certification in Emergency Crisis Response requires the knowledge, experience, education and training regarding policies, procedures, and guidelines for responding to a crisis or emergency that could threaten the health, safety of individuals across a wide variety of crisis situations. This may include crises or emergencies that are an unpredictable event or as unforeseeable consequences including:
· physical and mental health emergencies
· accidents
· social, physical, or emotional distress
· environmental events - severe weather or natural disasters, fires or explosions, extended power outages, terrorism, or acts of violence
Emergency crisis response is the application of strategies designed to help a governmental or private organizations deal with these types of events, and helps to ensure resolution in efforts to minimize the traumatic impact of those exposed to the traumatic event.
Applicants applying for Certification in Emergency Crisis Response need to include documentation of their knowledge, experience, education and training related to emergency crisis response.
